This Friday we will be celebrating the auspicious appearance day of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur, the birth of a visionary Acharya ('A Great Teacher who leads by example' & born in 1874) who reshaped the course of Gaudiya Vaishnavism (aka the Hare Krishna Movement) and laid the foundation for its global reach and the International Society we have today.

Local senior devotee His Grace, Trilokanath prabhu will give a talk and explain how Srila Bhaktisiddhanta, founded the Gaudiya Math, organised monastic institutions, printing presses, temples, and preaching centres with a modern, missionary structure, radical for its time.

We will learn how, in the early 20th Centuary he sent disciples across India and eventually to Europe and through his instruction to his disciples, the worldwide bhakti movement later took visible shape through the incredible endeavours of his disciple A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in the 1960's and 1970's.

Srila Bhaktisiddhanta's deep spiritual realisation and manifest compassion for all living entities in this world is summed up:

"I wish that every selfless, tender-hearted person of Gaudiya Math will be prepared to shed two hundred gallons of blood for the nourishment of the spiritual corpus of every individual of this world."

Please join us to hear more about this Saint and uplifting spiritual history and how it can effect our own lives. As usual we will also have Hare Krishna Kirtans (chanting with musical instruments) and finish with a Veggie/Vegan Spiritual Feast. We look forward to seeing you there!
