Among all twelve months, the month of Kartik is dear to Lord Krishna. If somebody performs a little worship of Lord Sri Hari in this month, that devotee is offered His own abode.” – Padma Purana

This Friday, Madana Mohana dasa will be giving an introduction to the significance of the Holy Month of Kartik that commences at full moon this weekend.

Kartik, also known as the month of Damodara, is a month for deepening one's love for Krishna. It is considered by devotees of Krishna to be the holiest month of the year. During this lunar month, devotees make extra vows, perform extra spiritual activities, and generally worship Krishna in His form as a young boy, Damodara, who was once bound at the waist by His mother, Yashoda, as a punishment for His mischievous childhood pastimes. We will look at the essence of why we observe this month as well as hear tips on how to do so.

Please join us and hear on how we can best utilise this auspicious time. As usual we will also have Kirtans (chanting with musical instruments) and finish with a Veggie/Vegan Spiritual Feast.

We look forward to seeing you there!
