“Among all twelve months, the month of Kartik is dear to Lord Krishna. If somebody performs a little worship of Lord Sri Hari in this month, that devotee is offered His own abode.”Padma Purana

This Friday, His Grace Trilokanath das prabhu will be helping us prepare for the Holy Month (6 October – 5 November 2025) with a talk and explanation as to why this time of year is so important to Krishna Bhaktas, followers of Bhakti Yoga.

We will learn how this month is for remembering Krishna in the beautiful pastime of Lord Damodar, and hoping to one day be able to tie Damodar with their ropes of love, all the devotees offer ghee lamps in the evening and sing the beautiful Damodarastakam, which creates a transcendental atmosphere. In addition to this, since Srimati Radharani is the predominating deity of this month, the glorification of Her transcendental name, fame, forms, and qualities, is the main vrata (spiritual vow) to be performed in this month. Mother cow is also worshiped on Govardhan Puja day along with other special observances.

Please join us and hear from our senior devotee on how we can best utilise this auspicious time. As usual we will also have Kirtans (chanting with musical instruments) and finish with a Veggie/Vegan Spiritual Feast.

We look forward to seeing you there!
