Friday 18th September - Celebrating Radhastami

This Friday we have more festivities planned with Radhastami - the appearance day of Radha (Radharani)- being this Saturday. Radharani - the divine consort of Lord Krishna's glorious appearance on this planet occurred around 5,000 years ago. She is the divine female energy of Lord Krishna, His loving potency, which He is all attracted by.

O Srimati Radharani, I offer my respects to You whose bodily complexion is like molten gold.

O Goddess, You are the queen of Vrindavana. You are the daughter of King Vrishabhanu, and are very dear to Lord Krishna.

She is the foremost maha-bhagavata, the greatest devotee. Krishna is all-attractive, but Radharani is so great that she attracts even Krishna. Five thousand years ago, when Lord Krishna came to this planet to perform His pastimes, Srimati Radharani also appeared.

Local devotee Madan Mohan das will guide us in a talk about Her nature and pastimes and bhajans (devotional songs) will be sung to make a very special and sweet celebration.

Please join us and as usual we will have plenty of Krishna Kirtans (chanting with musical instruments) and finish with a Veggie/Vegan Spiritual Feast. We look forward to seeing you there!
