This Friday we celebrate Balaram Jayanti – the appearance day of Lord Balarama, the elder brother of Lord Krishna and the original source of spiritual strength. To mark this most auspicious occasion, we are delighted to welcome our special guest speaker Jaya Krishna prabhu, visiting us from the Bhaktivedanta Manor Temple.
Jaya Krishna prabhu is a senior devotee at the UK's largest Radha Krishna Temple in the UK, and has been the director and key actor in the 'Bhaktivedanta Players', a group of talented performers promoting Bhakti Yoga through drama in the UK and other parts of the world, for many decades. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in practicing Bhakti and skilled in sharing profound spiritual wisdom in a deep and accessible way, helping us to apply it to our own daily lives.
'Bala' means spiritual strength and 'Rama' means the supreme reservoir of spiritual pleasure. One cannot make advancement in spiritual life without being sufficiently favoured by Lord Balarama. (Srila Prabhupada)
Please join us for this enlightening evening, for newcomers and longtime practitioners alike and as usual we will have plenty of Krishna Kirtans (chanting with musical instruments) and finish with a Veggie/Vegan Spiritual Feast. We look forward to seeing you there!
