This Friday we will celebrate the appearance day of Advaita Acharya, a close associate of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the Father of the Kirtan Movement, Golden Avatar of Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
Local devotee, Her Grace Mohini dasi will guide us through the history of this great personality and spiritual relevance of His identity, actions and pastimes, that gave rise to the descent of Krishna in the form of His own devotee - Chaitanya Mahaprabhu & the subsequent birth of Sankirtan (congregational chanting) movement that we have today, propogating the chanting of the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra.
harer nāma harer nāma

“ ‘In this age of quarrel and hypocrisy, the only means of deliverance is the chanting of the holy names of the Lord. There is no other way. There is no other way. There is no other way.’ ”(Chaitanya Charitamrita.Madhya 6.242)
We will also learn Advaita Acharya is one of the 'Pancha Tattva' - 5 aspects of the absolute truth:
“Let me offer my obeisances unto Lord Sri Krishna, who has manifested Himself in five as a devotee (Lord Caitanya), expansion of a devotee (Lord Nityananda), incarnation of a devotee (Advaita Acarya), pure devotee (Srivasa), and devotional energy (Gadadhara)” (Chaitanya Charitamrita. Adi 7.6)
Please join us to hear of this great personality and of course we will also have Kirtan (chanting with musical instruments) and finish with a Veggie/Vegan Spiritual Feast. We look forward to seeing you there!
