This Friday we will celebrating on the disappearance (passing away) day of a great personality, Sri Locana Dasa Thakura who is a bright jewel in the Gaudiya Vaishnava (Bhakti Yoga) tradition and being an exalted devotee, saint and poet he totally devoted his life to glorifying Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the Golden Avatar of Lord Krishna.

Locana Dasa Thakuraappeared in this world in 1520 A.D., thirty-four years after the appearance of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Locana Dasa wrote a biography on Lord Caitanya, entitled Sri Caitanya Mangala, and he wrote many devotional songs, some we will sing this evening in Glorification of Lord Nityananda and Lord Chaitanya, the most recent form of the Godhead.

"My dear brother, you just try and examine this. Within the three worlds there is no one like Lord Caitanya or Lord Nityananda, because Their merciful qualities are so great that They make even birds and beasts cry, what to speak of human beings." (from the song 'Parama Karuna' - Locana dasa Thakura)

Please join us to hear of this great devotee and His writings and as usual we will also have Hare Krishna Kirtans (chanting with musical instruments) and finish with a Veggie/Vegan Spiritual Feast. We look forward to seeing you there!
