On the eve of Janmashtami, the anniversary of the Appearance of Krishna, The Supereme Personality of Godhead, in his manifest pastimes here on Earth, we will be holding a mini-celebation.

Some 5000 years ago, Krishna appeared on the midnight of the eighth day of waning moon, as the eighth son of Devaki and Vasudev in Mathura, in the land we call India.

Although I am unborn and My transcendental body never deteriorates, and although I am the Lord of all living entities, by My internal energy I still appear in every millennium in My original transcendental form.

For those practicing Bhakti Yoga or Krishna Bhakti, this is one of the most important festivals of the year and we will be celebrating with special Bhajan (devotional song), dramatic reading of the story of His birth, a special 'flower bath' (Pushpa Abhisek) ceremony for the Deity (form) of Baby Krishna, along with Kirtans (chanting with musical instruments) and finish with a Veggie/Vegan Spiritual Feast.

Please join us, we look forward to seeing you there!
