This 'Hare Krishna Friday', we will hear the Glories of Rathayatra, the ancient cart Festival for the special form of Krishna, Lord Jagannath, with the help of listening to a class on screen with subtitles, by Srila Prabhupada (the founder of the modern day Hare Krishna Movement) from 1975.
In 1965, His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami, known to his followers as Srila Prabhupada, brought Krsna consciousness (Bhakti Yoga), a tradition practiced in India for millennia, to the West. He translated the great spiritual works such as the Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam, who's esoteric wisdom gives the highest wisdom and secret to real and lasting happiness.
As usual we will also have Kirtans (chanting with musical instruments) -the most effective method of self-realisation for this age- and finish with a Veggie/Vegan Spiritual Feast.
