This week, at 'Hare Krishna Fridays', we will focus on Bhajans and Kirtans, Hymns and Mantras for the Glorification of Lord Krishna and His devotees. Devotional songs written by the pure devotees are considered nondifferent from Vedic mantras providing spiritual wisdom through devotional practices and as they are composed by and about the lineage of Krishna consciousness teachers, serve as a rich source of philosophical and spiritual knowledge. They are integral to the practice of Bhakti Yoga, helping to purify the heart and elevate the mind.
"Songs composed by the acaryas are not ordinary songs. When chanted by pure Vaisnavas who follow the rules and regulations of Vaisnoava character, they are actually effective in awakening the Krishna consciousness dormant in every living entity......We must therefore always merge in the transcendental mellow of kirtana-rasa, for kirtana-rasa is the safest situation within this material world. Hare Krishna.
A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami."

As usual we will also have Hare Krishna Kirtans (chanting with musical instruments) and finish with a Veggie/Vegan Spiritual Feast. We look forward to seeing you there!
