Friday 2nd May - The Consciousness of Consciousness

Hare Krishna dear Friends, following on from last weeks talk on the Vedic description of sound and it's effect on conciousness, this week His Grace Madan Mohan das prabhu will lead a presentation on 'The Consciousness of Consciousness' and will explore the Gaudiya Vedanta explanations of what consciousness is, what it isn't and what the consciousness of consciousness is.

indriyāni parāny āhur

indriyebhyah param manah

manasas tu parā buddhir

yo buddheh paratas tu sah

The working senses are superior to dull matter; mind is higher than the senses; intelligence is still higher than the mind; and he [the soul] is even higher than the intelligence.

(Bhagavad Gita 3.42)

As usual we will also have Kirtans (chanting with musical instruments) and finish with a Veggie/Vegan Spiritual Feast.
