Friday 24th November - End of Kartik Kirtan Night

With the auspicious month of Kartik drawing to an end this weekend we thought we'd finish with a Kirtan night - a night focussing totally on the Holy Name of Krishna, absorbed in chanting the Hare Krishna maha-mantra - the most effective method of self-realisation for this age, with various singers and instruments.

'The church of kirtan invites all classes of people, without distinction as to caste or clan, to engage in the highest cultivation of the spirit. This church, it appears, will extend all over the world, and take the place of all sectarian institutions which exclude “outsiders” from the precincts of the mosque, church, or temple.' (Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur)

We also sing, for the last time this year, the bhajan (devotional song) - Damodarastakam and offer Candles to Mother Yoshoda and infant Krishna and finish with a Veggie/Vegan Spiritual Feast.

We look forward to seeing you there!
