Krishna appeared on earth over 5,000 years ago in Vrindavan, India. Today is the anniversary of that 'birth'. God is unlimited and appears in unlimited forms but Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. In the Bhagavad Gita He is revealed as the Supreme Brahman, the primal God, the unborn eternal divine Person. That same unborn eternal Lord Sri Krishna takes birth seemingly as an ordinary human being. Yet He proves that He is not ordinary by His uncommon pastimes. Tonight we will be having Kirtan (chanting with musical instruments) and hearing about Krishna's appearance and His associated pastimes. We will also serve Prasadam (sanctified food) but as many devotees fast until midnight on this day, you are welcome to bring a container to take some away.
