Hare Krishna! Tonight we will have a special 'Bhajan night' (devotional songs) lead by HG Mohini dasi mataji. We will sing the famous song 'Ohe Vaisnava Thakura' glorifying Krishna's devotees.
Devotional songs are one of the cornerstones of the Bhakti Yoga tradition and although, in the early days of the modern Hare Krishna movement, Srila Prabhupada put the highest focus on chanting the Hare Krsna mahamantra, he encouraged his disciples to travel to India and collect Vaisnava bhajans, learn them and use them for sharing Krishna Consciousness. He constantly sang songs of Bhaktivinoda Thakura, Narottama Dasa Thakura, and other great Vaisnavas, while offering useful purports and commentaries to allow better understand of these songs.
Tonight, Mohini dasi mataji will lead us into song whilst giving us opportunity to hear the translation and discuss the deeper meaning of the words.
Along side this will be the usual joyous musical mantra chanting (Kirtan) & Veggie/Vegan sanctified feast (Prasadam).
